i closed my eyes when i lay down to sleep
and for a second
i forgot his face
and i panicked
i realised
i was forgetting
i was forgetting him
his smell
his touch
his goofy smile
I WAS FORGETTING
why did it scare me so
isnt this what i've been wanting
since march
to FORGET
but now i find myself desperately trying
to hold whatever memories i have left
cause thats all i have to get me thro all this
memories of you
it was almost comical
in a twisted sort of way
that i was crying last night
and you were crying last night
with the thunder and lightning
and the storm raging outside
knowing that there was only so
much i can do from the other end of the phone
that i will never ever be able
to physically be there for you
to catch your tears

why do we hold back the things we
are DYING to say to the people
we love most
why cant i tell him that i still love him
that i miss him
that everyday without his is hard
i cant tell if its pride
or fear
or a combination of both

maybe i'm just being stupid again
but for the life of me
deep down inside i know
